Ahh yes, the publicity stunt where the Chicago GM dealers towed a bunch of "unsafe jalopies" that supposedly "killed so-and-so" through town and then stacked and burned them in an effort to scare people into buying new cars.

A bunch of other photos of this: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...ad.php?t=443652

From what I can tell, the top car is a 1928-1929 Model A, the black car to the left of that (rear visible) is a 1933 Ford. Just under that is a circa 1937 Nash Lafeyette, with a Willys of around the same year to the right of that. The car under the the Nash looks like a 1937 Plymouth (as does the front car at the bottom of the pile), and the early sedan with the smashed-down front might be a 1934 Chrysler CB, though I'm not certain on that one. The two prominent sedans on the second row from the bottom are a roughly 1932 Packard 900 (left), and a 1934 Chevrolet Master sedan (right, passenger's door open).

The rest I can't identify.
