The only way I can tell an '80 from an '81 (without looking at the interior) is the nose badge of an '80 is mostly chrome, and the '81 badge, while an identical design, is mostly black. This appears to be the '81 badge. The '81s also offered a series of rather attractive two-tone paint schemes, though that's obviously not a factor on a car not so optioned.
On a side note, I spent years overlooking C3 Corvettes, but over the last year or so I've found myself really geeking out over them. I don't know why.
