I've always thought the '59s look fantastic from the center forward, and like a cluttered mess at the rear. |

#2, As time goes on, I think EVERYONE deserves a mulligan for 59' - 61'
Almost nobody got it "right" consistently across all models/trims |

I've always liked the 1959 Ford lineup, the 1959 Cadillacs and 1959 Chevrolets, as well (though I recognize the latter two are controversial).
Also, Oldsmobile's lineup looked pretty good in 1959 and 1960, as well, though 1961 was a down year. Buicks looked good in 1959 and 1961, though the 1960s were a bit "off."

#7, I'm okay with all 1959 Mopars, though the Dodge was somewhat overwrought. 1960s were good, too, though Dodge improved and Plymouth got worse. 1961 was pretty much a travesty across the board for Mopar.
I actually like all 1959 GMs. I don't find that a bad year for the General at all, other than Pontiac being a mixed bag. I think I still like that year for Pontiac overall.
I've never liked Ford's 1960 lineup, from any of their divisions. 1961s looked okay, though 1962s were a bigger step up.
I agree on Studebaker and Rambler. Rambler Americans of that time are cute, in a quirky way, but the Classics and Ambassadors weren't really lookers until '63.
