Oh dear... and the front fenders are a single part of the body on these, too, aren't they? So the front end must have been sawed off.

At the same time though, the fender edges look ragged like fiberglass. I'm thinking it's a replica.

Yeah, it's definitely fiberglass. Apart from the broken fenders, note the gray discoloration on the panels where the paint has rubbed off, instead of the rusted bare metal you'd see on a metal car.

Shay and later Camelot both offered fiberglass 1955-1957 Thunderbirds, designed to run more modern Ford running gear, since the early 1980s. Regal Roadsters ended up with their tooling around 1986 and still sells them today, but AFAIK they only sell the 1955-1956 T-birds, no '57s.
