Well, from the Cobra symbol, I would guess that it's a Mustang...but the roofline and the RHD tell me it's probably an Australian Ford....I'm guessing an Aussie Ford Falcon Cobra

I'm probably wrong though. Never seen a car like this in my life.

Yep, that would be the correct answer. Man, I want one of these! Oh, and believe it or not, this is a 1978 model.

I think it is ugly. Why do you want one MadMax?

Because it would be unique as all hell here in the States, it has a 351 Cleveland and so would be easy to modify, and I personally like the look of it. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Sorry, I was misinformed. Apparently its technical name is XC Cobra. But I could be wrong about that one, too.

True. I guess having something different is important to a lot of people.

actually I think the Cobra was a variation of the Falcon. Higher performance than a base model but not yet a GT.

Imagine the fun you could have taking this to car shows and watching people try to ID it.

Well, I did a pretty good job of guessing what it was.

Can any of the Aussies on this site give me a link or something to more info on this car, like performance numbers, that sort of thing? Also, are those headlight covers, or does this car have flip-up headlights like some of the 1st-gen Chargers?
