#1, Aye, it has rust forming at the rear base of the vinyl top. I know THAT too well....

#2, Ah, I can remember it now. So the vinyl top is some kind of water/rust trap?

#4, One of 6 rust spots on my E36, and the only one close to perforating sheet metal, is a common rust trap for this series: bottom of front right fender. For some reason mud and water get trapped there, which does not happen on the left side and from what I heard it's the same for RHD cars.
