Yeah, my dad had a Sprite like this a long time ago... first year of the non-Bugeye, in white...

It never really worked quite right, and he replaced it with his brand new 240Z in 1970.

It's too bad one of the most timeless works of style got lassoed to an utterly shiaty drivetrain, as did just about all the other gorgeous British roadsters of the day

#2, Basically, anything from BL, other than the TR8, that didn't get the Rover V8, falls into that category.

(Not even the Rover V8 could save the TR8)
