It's like the beginning of a Cold Case episode... can't wait to see the epilogue with the nice tunes and flashback younger versions of all involved...

Damn, the Camaro actually split in half when they dragged it up. Then again, if it's been down there since 1970, that isn't really surprising.

The car behind it seems to be a '49-'51 Chevrolet....if it's true that it's been down there since the early '60s, that's pretty impressive.

#1, I nominate "Get Ready" by Rare Earth as the "establishing" theme as our unlucky victim pulls up outside his Girlfriend's place in his Camaro. She seems unenthusiastic as she gets in the passenger's seat. "Something wrong?" He asks. "No, just thinking" she says, "Maybe we should call this off?" "Are you kidding? You worry too much!" he declares. "Maybe this time it's justified?" she asks pensively. He says nothing. The camera lingers on the rear of the Camaro as it rumbles up the street, the taillights blazing in the dark. Jump cut to the same lights, slowly disappearing beneath murky water as the shot pulls back showing a deserted lakeside. Off to the side, just out of shot, the shoetips of an unseen figure linger briefly before slowly walking off..... cut to an officer at a typewriter in a squad room, filling out a missing persons report for "Robert Hart"... date of disappearance.... Aug 5, 1970..... Cut to present day as a tow truck pulls this car onto shore...

#4, Rush: So Boss, what have we got?
Stillman: Dredging crew was widening the beach when their equipment snagged something, turns out this was it
Rush: A classic, nice, how long has it been in there?
Stillman: Probably since it was new, it's a 69', had plates registered in 1970, we're running them through the DMV now see if we can find out who it belonged to.
Rush: They'll be happy to know we finally found their car.
Stillman: *gestures to nearby bodybag* Unless it's his... the remains were in the driver's seat, male, roughly between 18 and 25, single gunshot wound to the skull.
Rush: So, we can rule out drunk driving.
Stillman: Unfortunately, yes.

#4, I put on that track and read those posts. Quite vivid imagery and dialogue, there.

#7, There are people with a knack for writing and creating moods.

I'm lucky to know someone like that.

I go to CustomersSuck just to get updated Tow Files.

The driver of the Camaro, posing with his car the day he bought it - just six days prior the disappearance.

After a lot of searching, I've found about the only passable 1970-71 song that would serve as a good "exit medley" tune, all the others are too rock-centric, or cliche' from their overuse in commercials and film.

Song suggested: "Make it With You" by Bread. I'd probably start it at the second verse though, the first one takes a bit too long to wind itself up.
