Attractive....seems to combine a lot of syling cues from Alfa, Peugeot, and coachbuilders like F&F.

If you're gonna do a custom, why no do an entirely new body? This is gorgeous.

When they say 1948 Jaguar, I do wonder what kind... I imagine one of the larger sedans? If that's the case, I'm glad it wasn't an XK.

#3, It was some manner of sedan. Hetfield wasn't happy with any of the Jag-based designs he and Dore came up with so they started from scratch on the Jag frame.

It was a Jaguar MkIV. Apparently the only Jaguar bits left are the outer frame rails.

Apparently there's some butthurt from some commentators over this car winning Custom of the Year, because it has "insufficient underhood detailing." Apparently, no matter what stunning, scratch-built custom you put together, it shouldn't win any awards if it doesn't have a chrome alternator, an aftermarket power steering pump, and K&N air filter canister, and black rubber radiator hoses. I'm not kidding, that's actually what they're bitching about.

#6, Uhm, so, custom car shows are supposed to be judged by bros that hang out at Pep Boys?

#6, That should say "and it has a K&N air filter canister and black rubber radiator hoses instead of custom chrome pieces."

The only part of it that really bothers me is the side mirrors. The rest of the car reminds me of a Delahaye crossed with a Delage D8-120.
