Description:
Dodge Viper GTS "800 Twin Turbo" As par for the course, the driver was a dick and wouldn't let people talk to him about the car. He left fairly soon after arriving.

Speaking as someone who doesn't generally strike up conversation with strangers, I've never had any trouble striking up conversations at car shows. Maybe having that common ground to discuss makes it easier. Most of the people I've met at them are polite and willing to discuss their vehicles, as well.

That said, I've also run into a couple of people like in the description. It's something I honestly don't get....if you're not willing to talk about your car or field questions about your car, what the hell are you doing at a car show?

#1, I generally despise Viper owners for that reason. There was a Viper club here that almost got Cars and Cafe shut down a couple years ago for doing burnouts, donuts and other shenanigans in the rain. Aside from that group of idiots, I generally like car shows.

On the street, more often than not, the guys (and gals) are happy to talk cars. Hell, that's how I met my ex-girlfriend. I would post more stories I hear from owners when I post their cars (and trucks) here, but I figure it's best not to tell someone else' story for them, unless it's really spectacular.

Dodges attract some of the biggest dicks you'll ever meet, Dodge Ram trucks, Dodge Vipers, Dodge Chargers, Dakotas, there seems to be an awfully high asshole quotient.

Late-model Dodge owners tend to be "alt-bros." They're aggressively macho, but find Fords and Chevys to be too mainstream. Basically, what happens when a hipster starts watching MMA.
