I'm going to go ahead and assume that that typo was intentional, and that annual inspections really are that thorough.

Side note: I did read more about the ford pinto memo and I discovered most cars back then could explode just as easily. I think that was blown out of proportion. Plus it was a memo, not a business case or action item. Anyone can write a memo about anything.

I drove one of these. The steering when EVERYWHERE while the car went straight.
