Nice Euro bumper swap. Shame it still has the godawful US-spec headlights, though. US federalized headlights on foreign cars had high points and low points, but Mercedes was always the lowest of the low, with the haphazard quad-rounds of the R107s and W116s being maybe the worst. |

#1, YES.
I will agree there. I also think the US spec Volvos look pretty bad, especially the 200 series cars. |

#2, The 200-series Volvo depends on the year for me. I like the "quad squares" like I had, but the quad rounds of the late-'70s were a bit unsightly. Speaking of cars I had, the Peugeot 505's American headlights were ugly, too, both the quad rounds and the later "headlight in a headlight" squares.

#3, Yes. The circle-lights are what I was referring to.
You what ugly? Try the UK market '86-89 Accord. I think ours actually looks better. |
