Description:
AMC Spirit.

It's some 70+ year old guy that's apparently an AMC nut... he also has a cherry red, tuned Pacer, and is currently working on a Pacer wagon that he intends to be a daily driver when he's done with it. Wish I could have seen either of 'em.

This one has a newer Jeep straight-6 and a 5-speed manual transmission http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/amcspirit01.jpg

The color doesn't seem to match to any AMC paint colors from the time period. In fact, I have a suspicion that it's actually Big Bad Blue, which is an awesome idea for a repaint on a later AMC car.

Could be 1978 Powder Blue, 1979 Wedgewood Blue, 1980 Cameo Blue... it's an '81-82 car though, so maybe the owner just picked one of those that he liked.

#2, I get the distinct impression that he buys basket cases, and basically completely re-does them to his taste. He says it took him 4 years to get this car to where it is. Of course, considering his age, I don't imagine he works quickly.
