The Cube was essentially the same car with a different body, so getting the drivetrain/platform approved shouldn't be that difficult... no wonder they're so popular, they're the cheapest new car in Canada, and apparently a far more entertaining drive than the Yaris hatchback, Mirage and Spark. Funny you mention the cars in comment one. I see new Micras once a week or so, and the B-class aren't terribly uncommon here. My neighbor has had one for about 10 years now :)
