Description: A bizarre hot rod I photographed at a show last year, with slap-dash build quality and a screwy snake skin covered interior. That double-kink http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/doublekink.jpg is intriguing me, but I can't seem to locate any car from the era that had that styling tidbit exactly... admittedly, it could be a custom bit.

I remembered that it was a common make. Now looking at some comparison photos, I realize it's a circa-1930 Chevrolet. The engine is still giving me trouble, especially that perfectly vertical oil filler neck. It might be a Packard V8. [Edited by Skid on 6-13-2018 @ 10:41:14 PM]

Funny that this would come up now, since they're holding this car show again on Saturday. I'm taking off work that day, so hopefully I can catch some good pictures.

No car shows here all year so far. Nearly every activity I've wanted to do this year is illegal or cancelled.

None here, either. The Twin States Motor Show would normally have been in either September or October, and they cancelled this year's.

I... haven't been paying attention in this area. To be honest, my dad was always the impetus to head out to car shows. When the world eventually starts getting back to normal (or would that be "if"?), I should head out to some shows to honor him.

#10, I... uh... didn't follow through with that. Honestly, I'm fairly "over" most cars from the '30s-'60s... '20s and earlier, I'm interested due to their era of "designers/engineers still figuring things out", and anything interesting from the '70s to now I'm on board with ogling.

I have tons of photos, but not hosting. This summer has been great so far for car shows, even despite the KiaBoyz shit. Went to Back to the 80s and a VW show last week :) Saw a VW Polo for the first time on US soil. Bone-ass-stock too. No stupid hellaflush or ricer shit.

#11, I honestly can't imagine ever being "over" mid-century cars. I am a bit tired of the growing nostalgia over '90s and 2000s cars, though. I'm just not quite prepared to think of 350Zs and E46s as "classics" yet.

#14, I've said it before, but I blame Barrett-Jackson. 20+ years of hyping up cars from the '50s and '60s, as well as a litany of carbon copy hot rods based on cars from the '30s and '40s... to me they've lost their interesting appeal.
