Description:
One of several Pontiac wagons that John Wayne had personally-customized by George Barris. The Duke loved Pontiac wagons, but hated "stooping down" to get in one, so he would take them to Barris to have the top of the roof and doors raised.

Crazy.

The roofwork seems a bit haphazard, though. It probably would have worked better, aesthetically, if he raised the whole roof, like a hearse.

Apparently he also had a brown/beige two tone 1970 and a grey 1975 with red interior, which was the last car he ever owned.
