Sold new in Kansas if the decal is anything to go by. From Wiki: Late 1964/early 1965 - USA: Launch of the MG Princess four-door saloon. 154 cars were sold. Vanden Plas Princess 1100 badged and marketed as a MG. August 1965 - USA: MG Sports Sedan two- and four-door versions updated with faux wood Austin style fascia.

My point still stands; WHY buy this car in the '60s? What could it possibly have offered that any other car of the era, domestic or import, couldn't? I also imagine they had a hell of a time with its reliability and servicing.

This has lived its entire life in Lawrence. Its in a shitty state now, because this shop has a habit of not fixing cars and lets them sit outside. It currently has 4 flat tires, lots of surface rust and the driver's door is partially open.

#3, These were considered novel and modern in the 1960s. No one really knew what sort of shitbox reputation they'd develop.
