Before my trip to France in 2022, I desperately needed a new rain jacket for the wet, chilly weather that was going to greet me there... I had gone to Walmart, which was of absolutely no use. The sporting goods department was massively disorganized, with gear all strewn about, and the staff member could only respond that it wasn't their normal department. I could have tried other generalized department stores, but I figured, fuck it, time is money, and I went to the local Dick's Sporting Goods.
The moment I walked through the door, a staff member greeted me, inquired about my needs, and led me to exactly what I was looking for. Yeah, it was a fair bit more expensive, but I no longer had any stress trying to find the appropriate gear. Totally worth it.
