I mean, yeah, it was a sporty body placed on a humble economy car chassis, but so was the original Mustang. ...its slowness was readily evident, but most cars, even "sporty" cars of its era, were generally dog-slow. I'm not really one of them (and I've driven two before), but they're considerably better than their detractors claim. Not "true" Mustangs, really, but it's hard to call them worse than a B210 or Capri of the same time period.
