Description:
SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW...Hey Mopar fans, notice the old school T/A paintjob
on this? It has the power too, it runs under 12 in the 1/4 with a Mopar Performance
engine that gives out 350 BASE hp, plus a lot of other mods. No wing, no clear tails, no
RICE. The ULTIMATE RICE KILLER.

This is my friend's drag car. NOT SHOW CAR, drag car. He even has a FUNCTIONAL rollcage in it. It is the LOUDEST car I have ever heard, but not high pitched like rice. What do you think? YOU ARE INSANE IF YOU THINK IT IS RICE.

Well, except for the headlight covers, and the huge bulge in the hood (I know it's probably neccessary), I honestly really like this car...but is it RWD or FWD? Hmmm...I think I've seen that bumper on a million Civics before though...this car is just slightly rice, but it's performance more than makes up for the slight amount of rice in it.

Well the bumper allows a lot more air in than the stock bumper and of course the hood is necessary. It's still FWD, 5-speed. And he only puts the covers on for races and shows, any other day he has them thrown where the back seat USED to be.

He did a real nice job on the T/A stripe, though, I'd rather see someone do this style of paint to the brand new Charger (if, and hopefully, when, they come out.)

Can you see where the stripe breaks behind the wheel well, it says T/A there...and that black spot below it says "FOUR PACK" since it was not a "SIX PACK" 6-cyl. like the old Chargers. He was featured in Mopar magazine with the article title "Something old...something new." His wife has a Neon almost as fast, and it's a simple, stock looking blue ACR sedan. The guys in town are SO embarrased when she smokes them. HAHA

4 pack...hahahaha...well, at least he's being honest. He has a good sense of humor, and his car is pretty nice looking for a street-legal dragster.

Yeah, that FOUR PACK thing is funny, but he wanted to incorporate that logo from the old Chargers into his paint scheme. I personally worship the car. HAHA.

HAHA. I don't think you could take him with any 4 cylinder car. Or 6, as a matter in fact. He is even thinking about adding nitrous to it to break the 11 second barrier. I told him he's nuts. (hence the need for the rollcage, he had a car fold in half on him once when it shot into a wall at a drag strip).

REALLY, YOU WERE JOKING? I couldn't tell. Yeah, I saw them both. I really wish other people would look at this car, I am curious how many idiots will vote it rice. I am predicting it will at least make it to the non-rice top 10 with all the Mopar fans on this site.

p.s. the stripe is PAINTED on....no ricey vinyl. Like I said, NO RICE at all on this car. This car is also louder in reverse than any Honda could be flooring it. HAHA. It sounds awesome if you can stand the deep ear-shattering tone. I LOVE IT.

My sister had a Neon. She bought it brand new (it was a '97 Plymouth Expresso edition). She didn't do a damn thing to take care of it, and it died completely after only 3 years. Serves her right for not caring about her car (I don't think she EVER changed the oil). What's funny, is that she wasn't handed the car by "mommy and daddy", she actually used her own money (that she had received from a lawsuit involving a dog bite, it's a long story.)

I had a '96, in which I put 70,000 miles on it in 2 years...which took it up to 130K when I traded it in and it was still running perfect. My friend helped me fix it up a lot and when put a custom tweed interior in it out of his car. Except for the steering wheel, not a sight of plastic in it. It was awesome and I had a cherry bomb muffler on it that sounded great. HAHA. I miss it. I had to trade it, took many miles and I got a great deal on a ZX2, which is great too.

ALRIGHT FOOLS. Why are you voting so high? Because he put a body kit on to lighten it and improve areodynamics for racing? That doesn't automatically mean rice to me if it's done for the right reason and is not obscene like the "Euboner" kits and "japanese combat-fighter" stlye kits.

Hey, when I see an orange Neon with a massive hood and headlight covers, it's sort of a reflex action anymore... but you're right, this in no way resembles rice.

Did you read what it can DO to rice before voting? Read over DiRF and I's convo. and vote lower tomorrow to cancel out our high vote. HAHA. And the hood is needed, he swapped out the engine for a better one.

As I said, THIS IN NO WAY RESEMBLES RICE, other than some aspects of the exterior. But the paint is well done, hearkens back to a classic Mopar scheme, shows a sense of humor, and the hood is necessary. So it IS NOT rice. It got a 2 in my book, just missing one because of the FWD. Sorry.
