#1, It's on Collector Car Trader right now. It's in Georgia. The ad just says "1971 Plymouth Roadrunner: Perfect body, Hemi engine, currently not running, $1500". You have to admit, even if the Hemi was swapped in (I'm thinking it was), it's a good deal. |

Is there something seriously wrong with it or something? Or is the seller just ignorant? |

#3, Couldn't be anything too wrong with it. I wish I had the #%#@% money! I'd turn around and sell it for 30 grand or so. |

Hemi engines are worth more than that even if they don't run... assuming they can be rebuilt, $1500 is what I'd expect for a rolling, enginless restorable chassis like this.... but with the Hemi? It's UFB..... |

#5, If the engine turns over, it's well worth the price of admission. |

#7, If it turns freely on Friday, I can have it running by Monday...... :-) (assuming I've got the parts ready to go...) |

If anyone has $1500 and a trailer, I would recommend saving this before some dumbass gets his hands on it. And Georgia is very nice this time of year. ;) |

My sister is about to buy the Camaro from me for $2300, but she's only going to give me $600 down and $100 a month. So it could be a few more before I can get myself another ride. |

#10, Sounds like fun... what kinda Porsche? 914? Old 911? Or did a money truck overturn on the Interstate when you were headed home? |

A 400 hp Porsche 914 would be a danger to heart patients everywhere. |

Something curious...Upon looking at this picture right now, I've come to the realization that this isn't even a Plymouth Roadrunner....it lacks the "Power Bulge" hood (unless it's a painted over Air Grabber, and I don't think it is) and it appears to have a Satellite logo in the middle of the grille, making me think this is actually a Satellite Sebring.
If the seller had the car wrong, there's every possibility that the the thing didn't even have a Hemi in it. |
