One of my friends who isn't car-savvy thought it was a ricermobile, what are we coming to in this world when people think a Daytona is rice! I had to show him pictures of a Superbird to convince him it was a factory car, and he WORKS FOR FORD! |

AAAAAAUUUUGH!!!!!! How can ANYONE think that Daytona was rice? That was probably a $50,000 car in the condition it was in in the film. What did Joe buy it for, like $500? I think we all dream of a find like that. |

I got my Firbird for $700, and then an extra $250 got me a 350 block, so its not impossible if you know where to look. I'm sure we've all heard the legend of the little old lady selling the "Old Chevy" in the classifieds for $1000, and it turns out to be a 66' Vette' , I've heard more than one of those stories, enough to know it's sometimes true. |

I got my Mustang for $3500, with a straight body and a $4000 paint job... damn good deal if you ask me. |

He he, mines a basket-case, no rust, but incomplete, and the interior is shot, engine had a mouse nest in it, and the pushrods were bent, but hope to be done by this summer. |

Mine had a complete interior, which ended up all getting replaced due to mouse nests. It reeked. I had to strip the interior and pull out all the air-conditioning ducts to get all the mouse shit out. |

The idiot who had it before me took the ac vents out and I don't have em' anymore, no big deal, I'm not wasting HP on a compressor, my AC are the window cranks. He also punched holes in the heater core blower housing to jury rig somthing up, and did the most Mickey MOuse job you can image with all the wiring, it's a mess under that hood. |

Could be worse. You could have to rewire a Datsun 510. There has NEVER been an accurate wiring schematic for those. Not even what they built them by. |

Sounds like my Mustang. It was a basket case with a good paint job, but it was still a good deal just for the paint. |

"Its one of our prusuit specials, nirto-methane direct injection" or somethign like that.
I'd take a Ford Falcon XB hardtop with a blower anyday. Can I get the "Bronze" special? |
