It's been years since I've actually used Photoshop, and I can't really say that I miss it. On the other hand, though, the last time I used Photoshop, it was version 4.0 on a (slow) Macintosh, so your mileage may vary..

#4, yea i don't do enough professional projects (photo journalism etc) to actually need it.
the last time i used it was christmas to restore some black and white (now yellow and orange) pictures for my mom and her family of her and her family as kids.

I'm just too cheap to drop $500 for it. Between an outdated version of Paint Shop Pro, and the GIMP, I can do pretty much anything I really need.
