I wonder if Jesse "The Body" owns one of these...

If he does, it should have a vanity plate that says "GUV-NER" , painted to look like a piece of swiss cheese, and he should drive it around the Capitol (or inside the capitol) screaming "I am a rocker! I am a roller! I am right out of controller! I am the rev limiter for the state baby! And I got yer' veto power RIGHT HERE!"

Never heard of the 355 before, how do you get that displacement? I mean, a 305 is just a de-stroked 350, but what is a 355?

I'm pretty sure it's an original Pontiac engine, or maybe a destroked 400. (or 405?)

I can't remember what all the different displacements were before GM went to standard corporate engine sizes. Pontiac had 301's, Olds had 400's and 455's, a few oddball displacements I dont' know in there somewhere, maybe 355 is one of them

It could be a Canadian version. Some of them used Chevy engines in which case the 355 is 350 bored .030 over. Since the Pontiac 350 had a different bore and stroke than the Chevy, a .030 overbore would not work out to exactly 355 cubic inches.

Didn't Ace drive a Ventura II? He really manuvered that car around, whatever it was.

Ace Ventura drove the remains of a 1st generation Monte Carlo. I'm not sure it it was a 70, 71, or 72. It was too badly beat up to tell.

You guys have never heard of the 355??? It's a common engine among hot-rodders, and the factories didn't build them. It's just a bored 350.

#12, Yeah...the Pontiac Ventura was the same as a Chevy Nova...same with the Olds Omega and Buick Apollo.

Hmmm....Nova, Omega, Ventura, Apollo...do you see a coincidence there?
