Had a buddy of mine who used to own one in blue. All the fun of a muscle car with the utility of a pick up. I think they would sell well today.

#4, what im saying is that if i had an el camino and wanted to modify it, i would find an aluminum block 350 for it, move the battery to the back, and get a carbon fiber nose and front fenders for it (and of course paint them), anything to help the weight distribution

There is a gas station in the city that has a red Ford Ranchero. In pictures they look ok. But when you actually see one, they are gauky. The front end seem WAAAYY to big.

The El Camino's weight distribution is actually superior to a comparable Chevelle's, thanks in part to the longer wheelbase and the long rear overhang.
