Description:
LATEST MIDNIGHT IDEA: This single-axle truck is powered by a Cummins diesel (unknown displacement) and is equipped with a 10-speed transmission. Estimate for me the highway gas mileage this truck gets without a trailer. Next, estimate the range with 240 gallons of fuel. Now, look at the first comment for my stupid-idea part: |

How about modifying the cab so that it continues moving backwards until it's over the rear axle? A small motorhome with amazing ball-hitch towing abilities that looks completely unorthodox. Though the rear leaf springs may need some modification in order to achieve anything close to a decent ride, my imagination leaves me with a possible interesting idea. Now I just need $8250 to buy this and an estimated twice that much to make it into a motorhome. If you think this is completely ludicrous, bear in mind that it's late and I'm tired. However, my interest once again goes to the original, ludicrous, bizarre, yet vaguely practical choice of personal cars...someday I want to fulfill all these crazy ideas. |

Hmm...I'll have to get rid of that fifth wheel and reroute the exhaust somehow... |

I was hoping that perhaps with two large sunroofs it could make a really big toaster. |

LEARN HOW TO PARK RICER! It's an interresting Idea, but you'd get an uncomfortable bouncy ride in it, the best chassis for RV/motor homes are Busses and 1 ton trucks, semis are just too big |

LOCAL NEWS:
As a truck loaded with propane cylinders was leaving the Aero Energy facility in Jackson Township Thursday morning, there was an explosion that tore the trailer apart. The plant manager says normal procedure is for drivers to stop as they're leaving, get into the trailer and engage the lock bar to hold the cylinders in place. But one driver’s cell phone went off and that may have sparked the blast. Two workers were hurt; their injuries did not appear to be serious. The blast did some damage to Aero's building. A nearby business had some ceiling damage in its office. Aero is trying to determine where the leak occurred and why. |
