Pretty impressive considering that the Y-block Ford motors were usualy dogs. In case you don't know, the "Y" refferrs to the fact that the block castings continue halfway down to the oilpan, instead of stopping at the mid-line of the crankshaft. That made the Y blocks a lot HEAVIER than compbrable chevy engines and earlier flathead Fords |
