There (at least used to be) another picture of one of these cars on here. They're neat-looking vehicles, but I don't recall that they were all that fast stock.

1.5L 108 HP engine. FWD. Don't know how much it weighs.

#8, FD (sometimes FD3S, I think) refers to that particular generation. The ones from the late 80's/early 90's are often referred to as FCs. I forget about the first-gen cars.

#9, I've always thought that the 300ZX (especially the TT) and Supra of that era also looked pretty nice. Also, the last run of 240SXs. Still, these RX7s had a very nice design.

#13, LS1 RX7? That kind of conversion seems to have become rather popular. It is interesting, though, that after you figure in the weight of all the plumbing, the manifolds, and the rotary itself, that a V8 is actually lighter than the engine that originally went in the car.

Nothing wrong with the recent smallblock Chevy engines, in my opinion. They're pretty well refined.

How can a 5.7 liter iron block V-8 weigh less than a 1.6 liter aluminum Wankel?

Wow. I think I still prefer the rotary noise though. They sound like jet turbines, and you cant even feel the motor run... smooth as silk.
