We found a place down near Gettysburg that sells new transmissions for these things, as soon as we get a price quote from them, then we'll know if it's go or no-go on this beast. I sure hope it's go

Military trucks have a HUGE collector following, especially the Dodges. This one looks like it's in really good shape and appears to still have some of it's original military equipment, making it somewhat valuable.

It'd be a real piece of history, but we're also looking for somthing to replace my Dad's beatup shop truck for when we need firewood/gravel/major car parts/ etc

Is a military license needed to buy/drive these on the road?

Not in PA apparently.. it has antique vehicle tags on it already. And as far as buying it goes, as far as Uncle Sam is concerned, it's not his property anymore, he sold it to a civilan at auction years ago

Well troops, it's official, assuming he didn't sell it over Thanksgiving, we're gonna call the guy up and if he still has it, we're takin' it

#7, AWESOME!

If you DO get it, you really need to take a picture of it being flanked by your two Firebirds (assuming you still have both of them...I don't keep up that well on people's car situations)

Oh yeah, do those amber spinning lights on the top actually work? That just adds to the cool factor.

See, we think the guy is selling it because it's transmission is broken. We talked to him briefly and he said a new transmission will cost him $1500, hence he's letting the thing go cheap, because he knows no one will buy it with a busted transmission for more than that. But we dug a little deeper than he did and found a M35 transmission for sale for $500 from an Army Surplus guy in Philadelphia. So we're going to just bolt that in to this one
