you can do it for free easily if you have an available slot on your IDE cable(s). if not you need to drop maybe $10 on an IDE cable that'll allow dual connections |

edit: after that you'll want to plug the hard drive into the new computer, so you'll connect the IDE cable (the gray cable) and the power. they should only go in one way.

#17, That computer, versus my brand new laptop...
Processor: 200MHz - 2600MHz (I believe mine was a slightly different model, with a 233mhz Pentium II)
RAM: 16mb - 32,000mb (+2000mb graphics-dedicated)
Storage: 2GB (Mine also had a second, 5GB HDD) - 2000GB (half of that being SSD)
Network card: 33.6kbps (though, I'm pretty sure mine had a 56k card) - 1,300,000kbps
Screen: 15" 4:3, 800x600 CRT - 17" 16:9, 1920x1080 |
