There's something that I find horribly wrong with this car. It's not in my driveway. :D |

Looks good in this pic but ugly from the back. Also, what's up with the 2ft. exhaust tips? |

I dunno about the exhaust. When I tried to open that ebay auction link, it nearly killed this slow computer I'm posting from right now. Europas have always looked sorta weird from the side/back, though. |

world's smallest rear window... the engine shot shows one little engine... but tranny work sure looks easy. |

Don't really need that much engine, though, if you're not trying to push much car with it. |

#9, 625 kg=1377 lbs. With 126 bhp, it'd have the same power-weight ratio as, say, a 260hp Fox-body. Probably handles like a go-kart. |

1377/126=10.9 lbs/hp
A 3400 lb. car would need 311 bhp to achieve the same power-weight ratio. |

They got a bit heavier toward the end from what I've heard, but the earlier ones were definitely spartan and lightweight. The nice thing about the current Elise is that it's rather true to this concept--sure, most versions barely have over 100 hp, but they're geared pretty short (low top speed). I've seen a video of an Elise 190 vs. a Corvette on the Nurburgring, and the Elise has no trouble catching the 'Vette in the more technical sections (mainly because it can brake far later, and is mid-engined, which gives it an inherent maneuverability advantage in threshold braking) but loses tons of ground on the long back stretch due to its limited top end. |

#8, That one says it has custom exhaust. The one on eBay may be the stock exhaust. |

You have to be a midget acrobat to sit in one of these. Great cars, but sooooo small inside. |

It looks sorta like a nice sports car that someone turned into a sedan delivery. It just needs one of those little round bubble windows like they put on the Pinto Cruiser wagons. |
