#17, I don't know about that. the school I went to bought me one that I used in the classrooms that didn't have computers in them because my handwriting is very messy.

Alienware stuff is way to overpriced. Take near half the money and build the exact same system.

if you're going to go with alienware go all out. If you don't have 5 grand for a laptop go with toshiba or something, it'd be more practical

Ok, the new plan is this (dont know why I didn't think of it sooner): I'm going to buy a used laptop for about $200-300 (probably my girlfriend's) and then dump about $1500 into building the best PC known to man. :)

#26, I take it that that is as much kickass as can be crammed into a tiny silicone chip...

depending on who you talk to.
Some people really like their intel, but they've hit a wall and their new processors aren't that much faster than the previous generation.
expensive as something that's really expensive too

#28, I just don't like Intel...period. They treat mhz like Honda treats hp. They try to make everyone think that's the only thing that matters, when it's just one of MANY measurements, that can be easily pumped up at the expense of something else.

sometime during the next school year I want to build an AMD 64 system
I've seen this case, it's a beast. I also think it's what I'll go with
