#2, Quite the contrary...I just thought the description would be a funny one.
I love my mother's Tracker...for a "weak" 4 cylinder, it's got a very nice amount of low-end torque, really pulls hard well from a standstill. Since the Tracker/Vitara was designed as a truck, and not based on a car, it's engine was designed for a truck, so that's why it has the low-end grunt.
Also, even though it's a compact SUV, it's actually as tall, if not taller, than most other SUVs... when I drive it, I find myself looking over Explorers, Blazers, and most car-based SUVs.
*thinks for a moment* You know, I'm probably impressed by its power because I have never driven a vehicle with more than 4 cylinders...oh well. (I HAVE mentioned that little fact about my driving history before.) |

So, the story right now... the frame is just a complete corroded mess. It's been reinforced, re-welded, and reinforced some more... but the Florida air is making the frame its bitch. I don't think it was properly rust-proofed to begin with...
The front subframe has now started separating from the rest of the chassis, and if the estimated repair cost is too much, my mother will be looking for a new vehicle... she's decided she wants to try leasing a car for the first time in her life.
She wants something Japanese, or maybe even Korean... it has to be a vehicle with a relatively-high seating position, and its value has to absolutely be under $20,000 MSRP out the door, to keep the lease payments low...
So, this weekend, we're probably gonna go sniffing around... on our list are the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Suzuki SX4, Scion xD & xB, Toyota Matrix, and maybe even the Chevy Aveo and Pontiac Vibe. |

#3, Wait a second....you've NEVER driven a vehicle with more than 4 cylinders? Didn't you drive your father's DeSoto once? |
