Also anytime I see a picture of one of these I am reminded of the one I saw on a special about the Blizzard of 78 a few years ago. It was also a hatchback but was yellow I believe.

Just found out this is a Datsun B210, not as S510. Don't know where the hell I got S510 from.

This car is very entertaining. They've been having trouble with the wiring lately, and found out that the fuse for the alternator was pulled and the thing was direct wired. So after several miles of driving, the wiring starts to get hot and smoke. When they told the guy they bought the car from about it (who my mother is now dating, oddly), his reply was to the effect of "Oh yeah, it does that. You just have to shut it off when it gets too hot". Since he only drove the car locally, he had never bothered to fix it properly.

They're looking to replace most of the wiring now.

#24, Yeah there were a lot of interesting-looking cars in the mid 70s. Must have been all that pot.

#26, Started having electrical problems after a year or so, then sat out in their yard for another year. They finally sold it to someone for $50 before they moved to Texas and I haven't seen it again.
