This car was owned by a local mechanic who basically riced it out as a joke. My sister's boyfriend needed another car, and the mechanic was selling this one (which, BTW, is in excellent mechanical condition) plus a parts car for $400. Has a really good stereo, to boot. Good buy, I think, if you have a sense of humor.
There is so much crap on this car: Kanji, Harley Davidson logos, NASCAR stickers, fake hood scoops, and a chrome oil cap with a Chevrolet emblem on it. Yet for some reason the car is so lame that it's actually sort of cool. I have dubbed it "The Danger Cart".

Interior (notice the tight dragon seat covers, the light-up shift knob, and the fan to replace the non-working air conditioner):

#2, Yep. Hasn't moved since September, and might never again thanks to my screwing up the head on it. :(
Behind that is my mother's '03 Intrepid, behind that is the 2000 Ram I'm driving right now. |

#4, It was my father's. Technically my mother owns it, but because the electrical system in the Brick is being a bitch right now, I'm driving the Ram to work.
The best (blurry) picture I currently have of the truck: http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/2000d...enandsilver.jpg
I'm getting ready to sell the Brick, and if all goes as planned, I may have another car pretty soon (looking for something with a stick shift). |

Oh I forgot to mention: This car was originally gold, but at some point it was repainted light blue. Sometime later it was painted dark latex blue. With a roller. :P |

#7, Considering one, but I'll probably never find one. If I ever do, though, I'll try for it. Most likely I'll get something slightly beaterish (similar to this car) and then just resell it later. Maybe an old VW; there are an awful lot of them in this area. |

#9, Hey, maybe. I'm really looking at everything under about $2000 or so. There's a clean 1990 Honda CRX for sale not too far from here for $1900, I've even thought about that. |

#10, resale value owns berettas, a decent running base will be under 2k, even the last years(96) Z26's sell for under 2500 here. |

Do yourself a favor and dont buy a newer GM. Seriously. Anyway, I love these datsuns. It's in good shape, if a bit tacky. He could get good money for this car. |

I like these though I've only seen 2 of these in my life. Both in Arizona in 2002. One was in Phoenix in mint condition and the other was sitting abandoned on some Indian Reservation. |

#16, I like them, too, and they are rare. Most have long since rusted away. This one is totally rust free, though, and the parts car only has a little surface rust (the floors are spotless).
One thing that has really surprised me since I first looked over the car is the quality of the construction: it reminds me of my Volvo. The metal is nice and thick and doesn't flex like most Japanese cars from this era, and all the panels line up well. The doors are nice and heavy and close with a satisfying chunk, rather than rattling like a coffee can full of drywall screws. I have yet to drive it (I will eventually), but I also understand that it rides smoothly (odd for a 2250 lb. car) and that the steering is nice and tight. |
