"With its “upside-down” wing set high above the rear tires, like a guardian angel of downforce, and Chevrolet V8, the Chaparral 2E became an instant racing classic when it debuted at the Can-Am Challenge Cup in 1966. Now, using the original body molds, plans and blueprints — though likely an updated Chevy V8 — a limited run of “continuation of series” 2E models will be issued by original builders Jim Hall and Jim Musser of Chaparral Cars, LLC. The cars will add to the last remaining example of a Chaparral 2E, which exists at the Petroleum Museum in Midland, Texas. The new 2E models will be unveiled at the Rolex Monterey Historic Races, which runs from August 19-22, 2005."

Awesome.

I've heard of these before, there was one in Gran Turismo 3 IIRC

#3, Yeah, the original Chaparrals dominated in the mid-late sixties. But from what I gathered from 427's post, they made some more recently.
