Here is a 56 Chevy Wagon I saw at the 2004 Daytona turkey rod run. Notice the Bullitt Mustang clone in the background.

Two things that drive me nuts...

Adding aftermarket chrome pieces that just "overload" the whole look of the car.
Painting OVER existing OEM chrome pieces (ProStreet fans are notorious for that)

This car is guilty of the latter. The front-end looks like a freaking 75 cent drug-store plastic toy car now.

#2, Keyword: Some. Sometimes painted-over OEM chrome looks decent, most of the time, it looks like crap.

#1, as long as the bumper and the nose piece stay chrome on these... i'm down with it. I also found a 70s model wagon you may like.

#1, , #5,

Same here. If the grille was chrome, it'd be great.

was the two-tone scheme strictly for Bel Airs/Nomads or did lower-end models get it too?

#7, In 1956 all three trim levels were available with two-tone paint, but all three looked different.

The 150 used a front-to-rear division: http://housebroad.com/56_chevy.jpg

The 210 used a standard "upper center" two-tone, with the bottom half of the lower body matching the roof: http://www.moviepicturecars.com/mov...evy_210_161.jpg

The Bel Air used a matching roof and upper rear quarters: http://local.aaca.org/antelope/imag...rts%20Sedan.jpg

hmm okay :) I like the first one best. The second looks weird, and the bottom one looks odd on a sedan.

wtf is housebroad?
