I always thought the Cayman S was closer to the 911 Turbo Cabriolet in performance and price, but it doesn't seem to be that much different than the Boxster. I'll have to check my sources. Still, I'd rather have this than a C6 Vette, but I wouldn't take it over a Z06.

I love the idea of the Cayman, although I know its execution must be hampered somewhat by placement (it needs to fit into their lineup somewhere between the Boxster and the "real" 911). The good thing about the Boxster was its mid-engined layout, compared to the extreme rearward placement used in the 911, and the Cayman adds a coupe body to that, which makes me happy.
