yeah a guy down the street does, and the with the weight of a v-10 it doesn't. yeah its fast, but a new e-46 m3 would kill a new rt/10 on the track.

yeah to bad bmw v8 gtr m3 wins most of the races bmw has been right up there if not winning in the american le-mans series, they are terrible handling compared to bmw's same with the corvette c5r

myndspynn learn to read, I said that for 3 times the price it should handle better, but if I ever decide to waste $89,000 on one i would expect it to handle better than a 20 grand civic.

I don't think I ever referred to rice as "pos rice", ok? Mac, I'm not looking for a fight, I'm just trying to tell people that the Viper is worth every penny of its cost. I'm sure a Honda Civic with enough performance mods to push it past the 10 sec 1/4 mile barrier is worth every penny put into it also. I just feel that useless *visual* modifications get rid of that "worth every penny" moniker. I know that Japanese cars are good at handling, I'm not prejudiced, ok? The Viper is just better at handling, because, its a sports car from the ground up. Also, it is a very reliable sports car. Notice I said *sports* car, not *tuned economy* car. Of course a tuned economy car would have better reliability, it just doesn't have the handling or performance dynamics of a true sports car. Sorry for rambling on and on. I just have to get my point across.

I know you never said that but in the posts above yours it was said so i used it, as for better handling I agree its a sports car and all my point is is that unless you plan to race(real racing not street garbage) it there are better cars to spend your money on, because with a viper youll never use all the performance that it has, so why not buy a corvette or bmw or something cheaper that you can use as a daily driver or as a racer?

Hey Mac! I happened to be looking at the mag stand the other day and I noticed something YOU should see. The fastest Civic in America can do 184mph. It is tuned. It's in Sport Compact Car. Last I heard Vipers and Venoms ran faster than that.

I saw my first real Viper the other day, at Wal-Mart (or all the damn places). Anyway, it was one of the REAL early ones (they didn't have side windows, they had side curtains). It was bright screaming red. I was in awe...mostly at the size. Anyone who says these cars are TINY is absolutely right...you'd expect a big V-10 supercar to be big&swoopy, but it was considerably smaller than my Camaro. Anyway, pardon the rambling, just thought I'd mention this.

Oh, and Mac, why don't rich people buy a Corvette or BMW or something instead of a Ferrari? I mean, they are VASTLY cheaper, and you'll never use the Ferrari's performance, right?

Another artical in the mag was where they test 10 cars in 14 tests. 9 of the 10 were modded cars. They include: Toyota MR2(1985), Toyota Supra turbo(1994), Nissan Sentra SE(2000), Acura Type-R(1999), Nissan 300ZX TT(1990), Nissan Skyline GT-R(1996), Hyundai Triburon(1998), Ford Mustang LX 5.0(1988), and a Datsun 510(1972). The stock car was none other than a 1999 Ferrari F360 Modena. The winner was the STOCK Ferrari. It won by 45 points over the Supra. This part of the mag alone makes it worth picking up. I'm not going to take the time to explain the tests but it includes a grandma test!
