Too bad it was the only american car in the whole movie and too makes things worst, they wreck it.

Actually, it's not the only American car in the movie. The red truck was a F-150 Lightning, and I heard somewhere that in one scene (when he's parking the Eclipse and the street race, I think, but I'm not sure), there's another old musclecar in the background, like a '60s Camaro or something.
