Well, watched the first 6 episodes of Lupin III: Part II (red jacket)... which really isn't making a dent in that particular series at all since there were 155 episodes. But it IS a fantastic show... first time I ever watched Lupin III, and I love it.

Well, I managed to get through Neon Genesis Evangelion again... the first 20 episodes, the director's cuts of eps 21-24, and End of Evangelion... it was much easier to watch this time around, and this time knowing Asuka's background and why she is the way she is, I was able to sympathize with her character, and I'm pretty close to saying she's my favorite in the series now.

I'll probably watch the regular episodes 25 and 26 again in the near future, just for shits and giggles, and to see the "Alternate Universe" scene that set the basis for Angelic Days. But overall, rewatching the series really was much MUCH easier than I thought it would be.

Most recent viewing... URDA... pretty weird little OVA series, five 5-minute episodes, so it's not very lengthy, but still an interesting story... it's all done in 3D and is set in Nazi Germany in 1943, dealing with time travel and people with no memories and whatnot... I thought it was very good.

#64, Lupin is some of the first anime I ever saw, probably 15 years ago. I saw the Streamline dubs of the short films, but the Pioneer dubs of the series are just as good.

#6, FWIW the initial gunfight between Pierre and Spike, shown in first-person from Pierre's perspective is one of the most stunning anime sequences I've ever seen.

Well...I guess I found ONE thing to do over Christmas vacation... http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/1275_minutes.jpg I am so grateful to my friend's sister's boyfriend for loaning me this set... I'll probably go out to Blockbuster to rent the movie when I'm done with the series... I'm really looking forward to this.

An incredibly cute high school dramedy about a vampire girl who is... well, different from other vampires... instead of having a need for blood and sucking it out of people, her body actually works the opposite way, producing too much blood and she has to bite people to INJECT them with blood to relieve the pressure from within herself, leaving both Karin and her "victim" feeling incredibly refreshed... but problems arise when a new male transfer student comes along, and her body "reacts" to him, overproducing even MORE blood whenever Karin is around him... but she doesn't want to bite him.

Ok... seriously... Karin was just so damned good... I couldn't stop watching it... just finished the final episode... I absolutely adore that series ^_^

Well, I watched most of Karin a second time... and I'm still trying to work my way through Fullmetal still... I'm past disc 8... 5 more discs to go, then the movie.

But the special features on the FMA discs... One was the entire first episode of another series, which I am now considering buying... Spiral... a supernatural sci-fi high school detective dramedy series with maybe some romance too... Just by watching the first episode I think it looks fantastic...

Also, another series that they've been including various episodes of on the discs... Ga-Ra-Ku-Ta: Mr. Stain in Junk Alley... a CGI-rendered series with no spoken dialogue (other than grunts or cheers) whose episodes are only 7 minutes long apiece... it's fucking hilarious and quite twisted/demented at some points.... and kinda touching at others... I've seen 4 episodes of it now (one episode each included on each FMA disc 5-8, which is how far I've gotten.)

Well, I finished Fullmetal Alchemist... I just... that was just... I mean, seriously... The only other anime series that I cried like that after watching it was Evangelion... FMA was just... words cannot describe... "incredible" is merely scratching the surface...

All that's left now is to watch the movie.

Riding Bean

It's sorta a "Prototype" of the Gunsmith Cats series... it was made before the GSC manga came about, and has several elements that later went on into GSC... Rally Vincent, the Shelby GT-500...though, Rally is a blonde sidekick to a "Transporter"-style courier, and the Shelby is driven by the police detective out to hunt them down... it is rather bloody and violent, and much sleazier than GSC... overall it's a really good OVA, only one 45-minute episode... has beautifully animated car chase sequences.
