I pity the guy driving that silver 2nd gen, F-bodies DO NOT like the snow, or the white one too

#1, My Camaro was great in the snow. Way better than the Integra is. |

#3, Mine wasn't a 2nd gen as you stated in your 1st post. Mine was a 3rd. Maybe thats what makes the difference? |

#4, Was Posi standard on 3rd gens? I think that was part of the problem. In 1/2 to 1 of snow, if you gave the car ANY throttle, even if you tried your hardest to feather the pedal and bring on the throttle slowly, the back end would just slowly start moving at like a 20 degree direction away from the center of the road. THe only thing you could do was get off the gas, and let it straighten out, and then repeat the process "skipping" merrily down the street, only turing the wheel into the spin could you maintain a reasonably forward direction. And this wasn't like at speed, it would do this at 15mph with only minimal throttle. |

#5, Never had that problem with mine. Back end only swung on me when I wanted it to or I was on a surface that was really really slick. As for the posi, I'm pretty sure mine didn't have it.
With that said, that was a long time ago that I had it and I could very well be wrong about the posi not being there. |

#6, That's the only thing I could think of because the gears in it certainly weren't aggressive (2. somthings) and I know I wasn't driving it too hard for conditions, I certainly didn't want to wreck it, and it wasn't the tires, they were your basic all-season radials (maybe that WAS the problem) but not some kind of track-only tire. |

This reminds me of when I lived in Minnesota back in the late '80s. These were the types of cars I used to see when I was a toddler....lots of Granadas and Fairmonts. And even at that time, pretty much every parking lot was guaranteed to have at least one VW in it.
Not to mention the F-bodies. I remember when we lived at the Woodbury Apartments in St. Paul, the neighbor who always parked next to us had a dark blue late '70s Z/28, drove it all year round. |

#9, Don't remember. All I remember was it was in St. Paul.
Out of curiousity I looked up the apartments recently, and they aparently still exist. |

#10, ah. So who knows. All I know is the name sounds vaguely familiar. Perhaps you mentioned it on here before? |

#11, Probably. There's also apparently a town in MN called "Woodbury", which seems to confuse searches. |

#10, After finding some of my parent's old mail not long ago, I managed to officially look the place up: The Woodmere Apartments, in Woodbury (which is right next to St. Paul). And they do indeed still exist....finding pictures of them brings back a crazy flood of memories.
The apartments I looked up then weren't the ones.
