Description:
VW Golf Kit Car.
The "kit car" is a rally car that is created using a special homologated "kit": the name is a bit deceiving as it usualy includes even the whole prepped body shell with integrated roll cage. But the point is that you can buy a rally car in several boxes and then put it together. Funny IMO. |

There are several levels or variants of each kit. Take this group A7 GTi for example. The standard kit gives you a built 2.0 motor with around 220HP and a dog gearbox, in the top kit you get the same motor but built by VW Motorsport (or using their technology) with 280HP and a sequential gearbox. Of course you can chosse whatever brakes, suspension and interior components you like, as long as you stay withing the homologation and FIA rules.
