Wow, a later one. I wouldn't mind having it, though I'd hate to have to resell it. If my numerous attempts to get rid of the Rambler have taught me anything it's that people just don't buy AMCs. |

#3, I got numerous people (some of whom looked to be near 50 years old, and presumably old enough to remember the brand) that had no idea what AMC is. This is a typical exchange I had with one of them:
"So it's a Rambler, huh? Who made that?"
"Hmm?"
"Who made Rambler? Was it Ford....?"
"AMC."
"....Ay-Em-See....?"
"Right. American Motors Corporation."
"What other cars did they make?"
"AMX, Javelin, Marlin, Matador, Hornet, Rebel, Gremlin, Pacer...."
(Eyes lighting up) "Oh right, Gremlin and Pacer, I remember those."
"They also built Jeep from about 1969 until Chrysler bought them out in 1987."
"Huh. So it's a Dodge, then?"
I swear that ACTUAL conversation took place. Needless the say, the fucker ended up saying "I'll think about it" and never came back. Just as well.

#6, Yeah, it's a class move. And I dig Mopars, too. |
