Whoa, what did they do with this? Is this one from a failed attempt at the bridge jump from the rollback trailer, or was this the one in the crusher?

Judging by the damage, I'd say the crusher.

That would explain the lack of the engine. That one was an absolute junker, stripped of anything useful. But it's still a body I would have liked to have.

This is what would have happened to Nic Cage if he had tried that trailer jump for REAL!

I doubt this was a real GT500...no one is THAT heartless...it's probably a dressed-up base model Mustang fastback.

Yeah, it was a 6-banger economatic. But as I said, there was not even an engine or tranny in the one that got crushed. There were no real Shelbys used in the filming of that movie, not even the "glamour shots" car, which actually had a 428CJ, functional side exhausts, Total Control Products suspension, functional side filler cap, the lot. That was a normal Mustang. Ironically, that trashed GT500 Kip gives Memphis at the end was the fastest Mustang they used in filming the movie. That thing had a Motorsport 351 crate engine in it!

A car that's all show, and no go, where have we heard that before?
