Description:
1975 Pacer with a 78 V8 and hood, obviously. Nice wheels, too. What are they from?

Nice color for a Pacer, but boo to the Mustang wheels. Never liked that front end, either.

Would it be a travesty to take a Pacer and swap out the drivetrain for something more modern, powerful, efficient, and reliable? I still think they look neat, and, money no object/concern, would be fun to have one as a daily driver with an engine I could count on and wouldn't kill my wallet at the pumps.

#5, The 258 is pretty decent, but not quite fuel efficient. A Pentastar bolts in, as does a modern Hemi (both the 5.7 and the 6.4)

Also, I was wrong. It doesn't appear the modern Mopars are a direct swap/ LS aren't a "direct swap" but they're not rare.

#7, "Also, I was wrong."

It was Earth, all along!

(Sorry, that's immediately where my mind went when reading that)
