Oh, GAWD that's a pretty car. What kind of motor does it have? The badge on the hood appears to say "440 Six Pack", but I can't really tell.

Well, it ain't a Hemi...but it'll still sound like a beautiful beast and kick the shit out of a winged Civic...

I'm sorry, that last post was rude. I would never intentionally berate a fellow Mopar fan. I apologize.

One of the best looking cars ever made! Handles like an old matress but in a straight line I wouldn't even waste fuel racing that against a ricer. Not even a fair fight. It's funny how the ricers try to argue against the laws of physics. No replacment for displacment.

Hell yeah! Ricers say that American muscle cars had crappy handling, well, we had something called Trans-Am racing that had a lot of turns in the racing, so muscle cars couldn't have had THAT bad of handling. And what kind of racing do ricers do with their "superior handling" imports? They drag race! What's the good of saying a car has better handling when all you do is drive straight to prove what your car can do?! BTW, the Challenger kicked ass in Trans-Am, so I would have to say that it has good handling.

To be fair, the Trans Am Challengers WERE small blocks, and the big blocks did hurt the handling a little. But it still was a good handling car.

I love these cars. My dad had a semi pro street '70 hemi orange one with a blown 440. We'd take it to races and even let the ricers see the engine, most of 'em (except the real car guys, like the supra owners that did their own work) wouldn't know a pushrod from a velocity stack. Then we'd blow em away... with the stereo going and 4 people in the car. good fun. with slicks it'd wheelstand a bit. if i can find a picture i'll post it.
