Taurus SHOs are fast. But Ford's factory hot rods are almost totally separate cars from the ones they're based on (examples: Thunderbird SC, SVT Contour, '64 Thunderbolt) so this one has no claim to speed OR coolness. |

im not much of a ford guy. but i know of all of ford's mistakes. (the edsel. the pinto. the mustang. the explorer. etc.). but i don't re-call ford ever releaseing a Taurus with stripes and a double R stickers. |

So the Mustang was a mistake? That's why GM put out their own version of it two years later? If you're saying Mustang II, you have my full agreement, though. |

I certainly hope so. The Pintostang has kickass potential, if you have ambition and a good sense of humor, but it SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED from the factory. At least it kept the nameplate alive for a decent car to take it over, though. |

Yep. Not as cool as the '64-'73 'Stangs, but that would be an unrealistic expectation. |
