the SHO is fast, and can easily be made faster.

Taurus SHOs are fast. But Ford's factory hot rods are almost totally separate cars from the ones they're based on (examples: Thunderbird SC, SVT Contour, '64 Thunderbolt) so this one has no claim to speed OR coolness.

im not much of a ford guy. but i know of all of ford's mistakes. (the edsel. the pinto. the mustang. the explorer. etc.). but i don't re-call ford ever releaseing a Taurus with stripes and a double R stickers.

So the Mustang was a mistake? That's why GM put out their own version of it two years later? If you're saying Mustang II, you have my full agreement, though.

I think he's talking bout' the pintostang, no one around here calls the original mustang a mistake and lives to tell about it

I certainly hope so. The Pintostang has kickass potential, if you have ambition and a good sense of humor, but it SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED from the factory. At least it kept the nameplate alive for a decent car to take it over, though.

I have to say that the Fox-bodies were decent heirs to the Mustang name. Clean design, coupe, fastback, convertible, and a nice small-block V8.

Yep. Not as cool as the '64-'73 'Stangs, but that would be an unrealistic expectation.
