Some updates :
Drove some Kenworths (T800, T300, T2000), some Freightliners, a Ford L8000, some Sterling and a huge Western Star, all with various transmissions : 8LL, 10, 13, 15, 18 speeds. Today, my favorite one was the lil Sterling 6-wheeler with a 10 spd and a Cat engine.

Drove the Volvo last week, it had an 18 spd and I can say it's one of my favorites so far, incredibly comfortable, great ergonomics, smooth engine and trans. I also drove a Columbia and I don't like it that much.. too stiff, horrible clutch, cheap interior. Yesterday, I drove my first big rig : 1995 Freightliner FLD with a Detroit and a 10 spd, 53' trailer !!!
The feeling was... unreal. Man is that thing huge. |
