You guys have a lot of interesting cars out there, but it seems like California would be a sucky place to own a car, with the emissions testing, the heavy traffic, and the high cost of living.

#2, Cities like San Francisco would be crummy places to own cars. SF especially is full of environut leftists who think you and I shouldn't own cars and that we should happily pay the rising bus fares, rising subway fares or ride bikes up and down those ludicrous hills. If you must drive you get hit with parking meters, increasing bridge tolls, and parking garages are expensive and far between. Most residents have to park on the street and pay for residential permit bumper stickers. The meter maids are merciless and the tow trucks are always busy.
Out in the 'burbs it's not so bad. Cali's a big state. Most of my relatives live out in the sticks on decent-sized ranch-type properties with very few neighbors. My biggest beef is that California is always broke despite all the high taxes, so DMV costs on everything are constantly going up and our gas is among the most expensive in the nation. And our freeways are shit. Caltrans can't do ANYTHING on time or under budget.
